In order to take the PADI Open Water Diver course (or PADI Junior Open Diver course), you must be at least 10 years old. You must be able to swim appropriately and be in good health. Previous diving experience is not necessary.
The PADI Open Diver course consists of three important parts:

5 Dives in Confined Water (ie in a swimming pool or in a limited and protected area in open water) to learn the basic diving skills
